Conclusion
The Chicago Freedom Movement officially came to an end after two years of peaceful protesting in 1968 after a bill was passed by the U.S Congress called the 1968 Fair Housing act. There was progress before it ended such as the C.H.A promising to build public housing, but only in mostly white areas, like I said before, progress but not complete. The M.B.A contributed by supplying mortgages without discriminating about race or wealth or social status. Some stayed such as the SCLC and Jesse Jackson Sr. behind to help out with supplying houses and jobs to Chicago residents. Some left such as M.L.K to go do other peaceful protests around the country in other cities.
